A state level symposium on "Cultivation, Processing and Marketing of Medicinal Plants" was organized by Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding on 5th March, 2013. Around 240 participants including farmers, pharmacists, practicing vaidyas and faculty members of Ayurvedic University attended the Symposium. Dr. N.C. Patel, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor delivered the Presidential address; Dr. S.C. Pant C.E.O., State Medicinal Plants Board and Dr. S.N. Tyagi, Joint Managing Director, Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation addressed the gathering. Dr. Chetanaben Mandavia, Professor & Head and Convener, Organizing Committee welcomed the august gathering, while Dr. N.B. Patel, Assistant Professor and Organizing Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
