Agri-Business is one of the fastest-growing sub-sectors in India, with an estimated business potential exceeding ₹11,43,000 crores. Despite this growth, Indian agriculture continues to face several persistent challenges, including inconsistent productivity, significant post-harvest losses, and a limited share in global trade. In an era marked by globalization and rapid advancements in business environments and management technologies, the Agri-Business sector is undergoing a structural transformation. It is evolving into a more complex, organized, and professionally managed industry.

In today’s highly competitive and rapidly changing world, the effective management of resources, enterprises, organizations, and projects is crucial for survival and growth. These challenges demand highly capable and well-trained managers who can lead with vision, innovation, and professionalism.

In response to these needs, the Government of Gujarat established the Post-Graduate Institute of Agri-Business Management in 2008, under the 11th Five-Year Plan. Located within the campus of Junagadh Agricultural University, PGIABM offers students a unique opportunity to pursue advanced studies in Agri-Business Management, applying core business principles to real-world issues and opportunities in the agricultural sector.

· Contributing to the formulation of public policies related to Agri-Business,

· Collaborating with academic and research institutions at the state and national levels,

· Organizing seminars, conferences, and discussions at both national and international levels to promote the advancement of Agri-Business.

1. Qualified and Multidisciplinary Faculty :-

The institute has a team of full-time faculty members with multidisciplinary expertise like Agri-Business Management, Marketing Management, Agriculture Economics, Financial Management, Agriculture Engineering etc, bringing diverse academic perspectives and practical insights into the classroom.

2. Modern Infrastructure :-

Post-Graduate Institute of Agri-Business Management operates from a state-of-the-art building on the Junagadh Agricultural University campus. All classrooms are well-furnished and equipped with modern furniture, teaching aids, and audio-visual equipment to meet the needs of a contemporary management institute.

3. Advanced Computer Laboratory :-

The institute has an air-conditioned computer lab equipped with the latest i3 computer systems. Internet access is available to all students and staff, and a 24x7 Wi-Fi facility is also available for visitors upon request.

4. Comprehensive Library :-

The in-house library has a rich collection of resources in Agri-Business Management and related areas, including books, academic journals, periodicals, project reports, and newspapers.

5. Well-Equipped Seminar Hall :-

The air-conditioned conference and seminar hall can accommodate approximately 80 participants. It is outfitted with modern facilities to support expert lectures, interactive sessions, and academic events.

6. Hostel Facilities for Boys :-

Male students are accommodated in the Chanakya Hostel, which offers double-occupancy rooms along with indoor games and gym facilities. Quality food is provided through a student-managed mess. Students are required to bring their own laptops for use in the hostel.

7. Girls' Hostel :-

Female students reside in the Central Girls’ Hostel of Junagadh Agricultural University. The hostel provides free Wi-Fi access and a safe, comfortable living environment.
