Thalassemia and Blood Group Camp for the newly admitted students of all colleges and polytechnics of JAU, Junagadh jointly organized by Program Co-coordinator, National Service Scheme (NSS), and Indian Medical Association(IMA) inaugurated by Dr. DP Chikhalia, leading Surgeon of Junagadh and Vice President of IMA on September 7, 2012 at 8:30 am at Auditorium, JAU, Junagadh. He explained in his lucid and convincing language the cause and effects of Thalassemia and preventive measures for it. He also appreciated Dr. NC Patel, VC for his holistic approach for multifaceted development of students. Dr. PV Patel, DSW in welcome address informed about the great ratio of students participating in NSS activities. Shri Nilesh Bharatiya, Field manager, Indian Red cross Society Ahmedabad honored Dr. NC Patel, VC with memento and Certificate of Appreciation for uninterrupted and sustained efforts of organizing the camps since four years. Dr. NC Pate, VC expressed thanks for appreciation and credited it to the team spirit amongst ever person of JAU. He said that AGRICULTURE word comprises CULTURE which unifies all the aspects of life. Prof. MR Choksi, Program Officer (NSS), CAET proposed vote of thanks.
