Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding (AGB), College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. Organized One Day Webinar and Online Paper Presentation Competition on “Environment Protection for Improving Animal and Human Health” on 30^th May, 2020. The Webinar was organized under Institutional Development Plan, ICAR, New Delhi. The event was aimed to educate undergraduate students and provide them platform to interact with renowned scientists of national repute, faculty members, and postgraduate scholars and among themselves.Honourable Vice Chancellor, Director of Research and PI of IDP Dr. V. P. Chovatia Sir presided the function and proposed the presidential address and emphasized the more conduct of such webinars with active participation of students. Dean and Principal Veterinary College, Dr. P. H. Tank shared the college activities during the lockdown period under IDP and also encouraged the participants by interacting with them during whole session.Dr. A. R. Ahlawat, Associate Professor & Head and Organizing Secretary of the webinar welcomed all the dignitaries graced the online platform and shared the schedule of the webinar. Dr. A. K. Sharma, Associate Professor & Head and Convener of IDP Veterinary College proposed vote of thanks.

     Overall two hundred and forty four participants joined in the webinar including one hundred thirty four undergraduates, sixty five faculty members, forty five postgraduate students actively participated in the webinar. The whole day event was allocated in two technical sessions. The first technical session had a presentation from Padmashri Dr. Kushal Sarma, Professor & Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, College of Veterinary Science, AAU, Guwahati. Dr. Kushal Sarma delivered his presentation on “Environment Protection for Improving Animal and Human Health”. Lead paper followed byonline paper presentation competition by undergraduate students of the host institute. The students made their brief presentation on the theme of the event. The second technical session had a presentation from Dr. P.H. Vataliya, Director of Extension Education, Kamdhenu University, Gandhinagar. It was followed by online paper presentation competition by postgraduate students of   the host institute.

     Both the technical sessions had a very informative presentations from the experts in which all the faculty members and the students interacted with them. At the end of the webinar, in the plenary session, the results were announced and the best three presentations from each of the technical sessions were selected. The webinar was well covered by press and media. The event was graced by the PI (IDP) and Co PI (IDP) of Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh.
