NSS unit of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, JAU, Junagadh celebrated “Swachhta Pakhwara” from 01^st to 15^th August, 2019. The Swachhta Pakhwara started with Swachhta Shapath by all the NSS volunteers as well as faculties of Veterinary college which succeeded by a lecture on “Importance of cleanliness in life”  by Dr. K.A. Khunt, Principal & Dean,  P.G. Institute of Agri-Business Management, JAU, Junagadh. Various events like Swachhta awareness campaign through promotion of Swachhta message, voluntary cleaning activities in and around administrative block of the college, Gokulesh and Goverdhan boys hostels, Veterinary college hospitals, Inspection and checking of all the overhead tanks, water filter plants, sources of water supply at the college, tree plantation, An essay writing competition was also organized during the Swachhta Pakhwara. In all these events, NSS volunteers as well as staff of Veterinary College actively participated. Closing ceremony of the Swachhta Pakhwara organized in kind presence of Dr. V. R. Malam, Director of Students’ Welfare.  Dr.  P.H. Tank, Dean and Principal welcomed the guests and narrated the activities of the Swachhta Pakhwara. During the event “Sanman” of two sweepers of Veterinary College was done. Best three volunteers of the Swachhta Pakhwara and prize winners of the Essay writing competition were awarded by offering certificates, memento and book “Swan Darpan”. The function ended with vote of thanks by Dr. R. J. Raval, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, Veterinary College, JAU, Junagadh.
