50 participants successfully completed National Level Fisheries Training on ” TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION PROGRAMME ON HEALTHY SHRIMP AND GIFT TILAPIA CULTURE USING BIOFLOC TECHNOLOGY" at Fisheries Research & Training Centre, J.A.U., MAHUVA.
This was the 1st National level training on "BIOFLOC TECHNOLOGY" from 14th to 16th Feb 2019 organized by Tamilnadu Dr. J. JayaLalaithaa Fisheries University in partnership with Junagadh Agricultural University funded by National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad conducted at Fisheries Research & Training Centre, JAU., Mahuva.
In this training program 50 participant came from various part of our Gujarat state like Navsari, Bharuch, Surat, Valsad, Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Amreli and Diu fish and shellfish farmers attended the programme with great enthusiasm. Valedictory function of training was organized on 16th Feb 2019, in the presence of prof (Dr.) S. Felix (Hon'ble Vice Chancellor) TNJFU, Dr. G. S. Vara (Research Scientist) Agri Res. Station., JAU., Mahuva, Dr. A. Gopalkannan (Asstt Prof) THJFU, Dr. S. W. Sawarkar (Assoc. Prof) and In-charge of this Fisheries Centre Prof. A.S. Kotiya (Asstt. Research Scientist), FRTC, JAU., Mahuva.
The participant presented their feedback and said that this training would be beneficial for all farmers has this biofloc techniques will help to double their income because low feed application into any aqua pond fish rearing nourishment will be provided by natural bacterial and plankton stock will be encouraged through BIOFLOC Technique.
