It's a matter of great pride that, due to the outstanding contributions made by the five Scientists of Junagadh Agricultural University received National Award in different categories at Babasaheb BhimRao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Dr. P.V. Patel, Director, Students' Welfare was awarded with "Eminent Scientist Award", Dr. D. M. Jethva and Dr. G.V. Prajapati received "Excellent in Research Award-2017", Dr. P.J. Gohil and Smt. D.S. Thaker were awarded with "Best KVK Scientist Award".

The scientists received National Awards from Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. R. C. Sobati in the presence of  Dr. Om Prakash, Principal Secretary ,Govt. of Uttarpradesh, Shri R.B. Ram, Chairman, Samagra Welfare Society and other dignitaries.

Dr. A.R. Pathak, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. V. P. Chovatiya, Director of Research, Dr. A.M. Parakhia, Director, Extension Education, University Officers, Principal and Deans of all Colleges, Presidents of Various Employee's Associations and Students extended congratulations and appreciation to all the award recipient scientists for giving name and fame of Junagadh Agricultural University at National level.
