Dr Rukamsingh Tomar, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Junagadh Agricultural University received "Best Scientist-2018" award from IRDP , Chennai and "Young Scientist -2018" from Samagra Vikas Welfare Society, Lucknow felicitated for his outstanding contributions in the field of Genome editing in plants, Gene cloning, Development of high quality plant varities, marker assisted selection, Next generation sequencing and QTL mapping of different crops. In 2017, He was awarded very prestigious award from Maharashtra Government "V. P. Gokhle Award-2017" for his research that contributes to the farmer and education society.
