A special Veterinary Clinical Camp was organized in connection with the celebration of “Krushi Vikas Varsh 2014-15”, by College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh in collaboration with Department of Animal Husbandry, District Panchayat, Jamnagar and Shree Bhanvad Mahajan Pajarapol, Bhanvad on 11thJanuary, 2015. Shri. R.J. Mankadiya (I/C) District Development Officer, District Panchayat, Devbhumi Dwarka, Dr. P. H. Tank, Principal & Dean, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh and Dr. K. A. Patel Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry were present on the occasion and graced the function. Five staff members  Dr. J. S. Patel, Dr. Bhavika Patel, Dr. R.J. Raval, Dr. J. V. Vadaliya and Dr. A. M. Patel along with eight postgraduate students from clinical departments were actively involved in the clinical camp. Animals from Bhanvad and surrounding villages were brought in the camp. During the camp eighty three thousand two hundred eighty six (83286) animals were treated for different medical, surgical and gynaecological ailments. In the camp different clinical cases were treated such as two hundred ninety eight (298) Medicine, thirty eight (38) Surgery, thirty (30) Gynaecology, eighty two thousand nine hundred twenty (82920) deworming cases and eighty five (85) laboratory samples were collected. A total of four hundred fifty one animal owners (451) were direct beneficiaries of the camp. Different species of animals of Bhanvad and surrounding villages got specialized treatment from the expert staff members of the College.
