Veterinary Clinical Camp organized at Khadia on October 16, 2014
A special Veterinary Clinical Camp was organized in connection with the celebration of “Krushi Vikas Varsh 2014-15”, by College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh in collaboration with Office of Range Forest officer, South Range, Junagadh on October 16, 2014 at Khadiya. Dr. A. M. Parakhia, Director of Extension Education, and Dr. P. H. Tank, Principal & Dean, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh and Shree P.J. Maru, Range Forest Officer, South Range, Junagadh were present on the occasion and graced the function. Three staff members, Dr. J. S. Patel, Dr. S. H. Talekar and Dr. G. B. Solanki along with one postgraduate student from clinical departments were actively involved in the clinical camp. Animals from Khadiya and surrounding villages were brought in the camp. During the camp, one thousand twelve hundred forty five (1245) animals were treated for different medical, surgical and gynaecological ailments. In the camp different clinical cases were treated such as ninety eight (98) Medicine, thirty three (33) Surgery, fifty nine (59) Gynaecology, and one thousand fifty five (1055) deworming. A total of one hundred ninetyanimal owners (190) were direct beneficiaries of the camp. Different species of animals of Khadiya and surrounding villages got specialized treatment from the expert staff members of the College.
